A 48-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest while riding on a New York City subway car on Sunday in the latest in a series of random attacks in the city's transit system. The unidentified gunman fled when the train pulled into the next station, in Manhattan, and remained at large on Sunday night, Kenneth Corey, NYPD's chief of department, said at a news briefing. "Preliminary investigation reveals the suspect was walking back and forth in the same train car and, without provocation, pulled out a gun and fired it at the victim at close range as the train was crossing the Manhattan Bridge," Corey said. Touchstone Partners on May 17 announced that it participated in Eureka Robotics’ recently closed a pre-Series A round, which raised $4.25 million from a handful of investors. In this fundraising round, Touchstone joins the lead investor, the University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners, and existing investor ATEQ. Hanoi remained the largest coronavirus hotspot with 347 cases, followed by Bac Ninh (138) and Vinh Phuc (90). The national tally now reached 10,708,887. An additional 1,319 new Covid-19 infections were confirmed on Sunday, raising the national tally to over 10.70 million, according to the Ministry of Health.
