Viet Nam News SEOUL — Vietjet will launch a new international route connecting Phú Quốc Island in southern Kiên Giang Province with Seoul later this month, the airline announced on Friday. Vietjet made the announcement during the South Korea–Việt Nam Business and Investment Forum held in Seoul as part of an official visit by Vietnamese National Assembly Chairperson Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân to South Korea. Ngân and speaker of South Korea’s National Assembly Moon Hee Sang participated in the conference along with several high-ranking South Korean and Vietnamese dignitaries. New internal water cargo route to be built in central city
Tien Sa Port in Da Nang city (Photo: baodanang.vn) Da Nang (VNA) - The central city of Da Nang plans to build an internal water route and pier system to transport cargo between Tien Sa and Lien Chieu ports and ease congestion on National Highway 14B caused by commercial cargo. According to General Director of the Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company Nguyen Huu Sia, the project will be built with total investment of 300 billion VND (13.3 million USD) and will be operational in the second quarter of 2020. Sia said the internal water route will reduce the number of containers in Tien Sa Port that need to be transported on National Highway 14B by 20 percent. AirAsia launches two new international air routesBy Le Anh AirAsia launched two new international air routes to Malaysia and Thailand on July 1 HCMC - Low-cost airline AirAsia on July 1 launched two new international air routes to Malaysia’s Penang, from Vietnam’s Hanoi and Thailand’s island of Phuket. The Hanoi-Penang flights are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights from Penang depart at 6:15 a.m. and land at 8:20 a.m., whereas flights from Hanoi are scheduled to leave at 8:50 a.m. and arrive at 12:50 p.m. On the occasion, AirAsia is offering promotional Hanoi-Penang fares, from VND1.2 million per ticket, which are up for grabs on July 2-8 and are applicable to travels between July 2, 2018, and January 31, 2019.
