Indian scholar hails Vietnamese President’s upcoming visit

(Source: VNA)  New Delhi (VNA) – An Indian scholar has hailed Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang's upcoming visit to India as a significant event given the fact that the Vietnamese President has a very positive attitude towards the bilateral ties and has a fair knowledge about the status of the relationship between the two countries. In an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency ahead of President Tran Dai Quang’s visit to India (March 2-4), Professor, Dr. Pankaj Jha, a senior faculty member with Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) and is also Editor-in- Chief of the JSIA Journal, said in the last three years, the hyper activism in India-Vietnam relations has manifested itself into opening of new vistas of cooperation between the two sides. Belarus leaders look forward to visit by Vietnam’s top legislator: Ambassador

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (Photo: VNA) Moscow (VNA) – Leaders of Belarus are looking forward to an official visit of Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan slated for December 12-14, according to Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Pham Hai. The ambassador said the Belarus side hopes to discuss with the Vietnamese NA leader bilateral ties in various fields, from politics-diplomacy, economy-trade to defence-security and parliamentary partnership, focusing on directions for cooperation in the time ahead. NA Chairwoman Ngan is expected to meet with the President, the Prime Minister of Belarus, and hold talks with the heads of the two chambers of the Belarusian National Assembly. Russian scholars optimistic about Vietnam – Russia ties

Under the article “Russia and Vietnam together celebrate memorable events” published by the “Independence” newspaper on December 8, Vietnamese studies expert Evgheni Kobelev from the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Far Eastern Studies highlighted that Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to establish strategic partnership with Russia and the Decree dated May 7, 2012 by Russian President Vladimir Putin takes Vietnam as one of the three most important partners of Russia in Asia, along with China and India. Top legislator meets President of Russia’s Tatarstan

President Minnikhanov affirmed that his republic attaches importance to relations with Vietnam, and thanked Vietnamese leaders for their support to the acceleration of relations and cooperation between the two countries’ localities. He held that bilateral economic relations and trade have not matched up with the potential, and the two sides should further boost relations to increase trade. Vietnam, Tanzania aim to forge cooperation across spheres
