* Military Region 4 (MR4) held the tenth congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the 2022-2027 tenure in Vinh city, Nghe An province. Vietnamese Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang delivered a pre-recorded speech at the second session of the conference. The MCIS-10 draws the participation of 700 delegates from 70 countries and six international organizations. The Vietnamese delegation, led by General Ngo Xuan Lich, member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, attended the conference. The conference focused on global and regional security issues, counter-terrorism, security in Europe and the Middle East, the situation in the Asia Pacific region, and the role of multilateral cooperation mechanisms in dealing with challenges.
