The sentences were handed out Wednesday in northern Quang Ninh Province. The construction is billed as a gift from the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence to the Lao People’s Army on the occasion of 70th anniversary of the Lao army and 50th birthday of its art troupe. The five-storey building was constructed on an area of over 3,000 square metres at a total investment of nearly 6 million USD, 5.5 million USD of which was provided by Vietnam and the remainder came from Laos’ corresponding fund.
