Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - A high-level delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA), led by its Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien, on March 23 began a three-day working visit to Madagascar. The same day, NA Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien met with Speaker of the Parliament of Madagascar Jean Max Rakotomamonjy in the capital city of Antananarivo. Rakotomamonjy affirmed the fruitful relations between Vietnam and Madagascar, and expressed his hope that the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries would be enhanced, including the exchange of delegations. He also mentioned several measures to strengthen relations between the two parliaments, including the establishment of friendship parliamentary groups. Legislators voted to adopt a resolution on the State budget estimate in 2020 (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly adopted a resolution on the State budget estimate in 2020 at a plenary sitting in the afternoon of November 12. Later, the NA discussed the draft law amending, supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organisation of the National Assembly. Concluding the discussion, NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu said many deputies wanted the draft law to be researched more carefully, thus it is necessary to postpone its approval. The NA Standing Committee took note of the opinions of NA deputies and would continue to work on the draft law, towards submitting it to the ninth session of the 14th NA in May next year for approval. In a countryside garment factory in the northern Bac Giang Province, Bien sits beside a bunch of red cloth bags. Around her dozens of other workers are making bags on sewing machines, but not Bien: Her job is to affix the company label on the bags, and she gets less than VND100,000 ($4.32) a day for it. She was given that job after failing to learn sewing despite eight days of training at the factory. "It's too difficult, I can't sew," she says. Bien is one of many Vietnamese trafficking victims rescued from China who returned lost, damaged, with little assurance their life would ever go back to the normal old days. Kezang described the MoU as a concerted effort of the two audit agencies and countries while meeting with Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien in Hanoi on November 12.
