Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong has signed Decision No.1520/QD-BVHTTDL approving a project on the organization of the activities. Accordingly, a Vietnamese Culture Week will take place from August 9-14 in the Cambodian cities of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap featuring the culture, land, people, tourism and education of Vietnam. Art programs, both traditional and temporary, during the week will be staged by Vietnamese artists. The two sides will also sign a cooperation plan in culture and arts for 2023-2027. Three people have drowned at Tri An hydropower reservoir in the southern province of Dong Nai. According to the initial information, the three aged between 10 and 18 came to the reservoir to swim on Sunday afternoon. One of the victims found The local rescue force reached the scene after being informed and by 5:30 pm on the same day had found the bodies of all three in the reservoir. The victims are a 17-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy. The cause of the deaths is still under investigation. Tri An covers 323 square kilometres, stretching across the districts of Vinh Cuu, Trang Bom and Tan Phu. Crown Princess of Sweden Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree had a busy agenda in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday, as part of her three-day official visit to Vietnam. Crown Princess Victoria, her spouse, and a delegation of high-ranking Swedish officials arrived in the southern Vietnamese metropolis that morning to begin the last day of her Vietnam visit, which ran from May 6 to 8. The crown princess spent more than an hour touring the Saigon River, meant as an excursion to highlight issues relating to the city’s drainage system.  Several of the city’s iconic architectural structures were also pointed out during the tour.
