Nine people in various sectors are named with the title of exemplary citizens for their great contributions to the capital city. Nine Hanoians working in various areas have been honored as “Excellent Citizens of the Capital” for making extraordinary contributions to the development of the capital city. Checking my phone to see the result of England’s World Cup qualifier against Hungary that had taken place a few hours earlier, I was met with a barrage of headlines about crowd trouble at the game. Hungarian supporters had been fighting with stewards and police at Wembley at the beginning of the game. It started when the away fans booed and jeered the England players as they took the knee to show support to kick racism out of the game. That, it seems, was like a red rag to a bull.
