The previously-announced deadline was October 15. The contest, celebrating 40 years of the Alma-Ata Declaration on primary health care (PHC), was launched by the Voice of Việt Nam (VOV) online newspaper, the European Union delegation to Việt Nam, the World Bank (WB), and the Ministry of Health in the capital city on August 29. In Việt Nam, the rate of modern contraceptive use rose from 37 per cent in 1988 to 67 per cent in 2016.
