In May, the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) have led and directed the whole military to comprehensively, resolutely implement and complete military and defense missions. The whole military has strictly maintained combat readiness regulations, closely managed the air, sea, border areas, and mainland while actively advising the Party and State to handle situations in a timely and effective manner to avoid being put in a disadvantaged position and working closely with relevant forces to ensure social order and safety across the country, especially the fifth meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee, the third session of the 15th National Assembly, and the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31). AFD, EU strengthen urban climate resilience in Vietnam
The AFD and EU have been actively supporting Vietnam in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation. Vietnam will receive financial aid from the EU and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) to reduce the vulnerability to climate hazards in several towns in four northern and central provinces. The project is jointly co-financed with a EUR5 million (US$5.36 million) grant from the EU, a EUR123 million ($132 million) ODA loan from the AFD, and EUR 28 million ($30 million) from provincial budgets. Graduation ceremony held for Lao and Cambodian officers
During their study at the school, Lao and Cambodian trainees have been provided with knowledge of basic science, social sciences and humanities, communication skills for staff and commanding officers at detachment level. What they have acquired in the courses provided in Vietnam is expected to help them well perform their advisory, organizational, commanding and training role in the future. It will also help them effectively exploit assigned equipment and boost their self-study, self-research to improve their capability to meet the growing requirements of modern warfare.
