SEA Games 31: Vietnamese archers secure two silver medals
Vietnamese archers (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese archers bagged two silver medals in the finals of the men’s and women’s teams recurve at the ongoing SEA Games 31 on May 18 morning. In the men's team recurve event, archers Nong Van Linh, Nguyen Duy, and Chu Duc Anh met Indonesian seasoned rivals. More Vietnamese firms approved for catfish export to the US
Six more Vietnamese companies have been allowed to export catfish to the US, according to the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department. The list includes Atlantic Seafood, Basa Mekong, Co May 2 Seafood Processing JS Company and CKFood. Six more Vietnamese companies have been allowed to export catfish to the US To date, 19 companies in Vietnam have been licensed by the US’s Food Safety and Inspection Service to export catfish to the country. In the first four months of this year, Vietnam’s catfish export value was estimated at USD950 million, up 94 percent on-year. China and the US were Vietnam’s biggest catfish importers during the period, accounting for 32 percent and 24.5 percent respectively of the country's total export value. Specifically, Vietnam earned USD306 million from catfish export to China between January and April while the figure was USD232 million in the US.
