HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Health announced that it has issued more than 14 million COVID-19 vaccine passports to the general public, a month from its official rollout on April 15. The passport is now available on the national COVID-19 app PC COVID-19 (available on both iOS and Android systems) or Digital Health (Sổ sức khỏe điện tử) apps. The vaccine passports have 11 fields of information: name, date of birth, nationality, the targeted disease, doses of vaccines received, date of vaccination, lot number of the vaccine batch, type of vaccine, vaccine product received, the vaccine manufacturer, and a code for the certification. Data has been encoded into a QR code. The code will expire after 12 months. Following their expiry, people will be notified, and a new QR code will be created. Coast guards raise local fishermen’s awareness of legal fishing
Delegates and owners of trawlers learnt about regulations and legal procedures for fishing areas according to laws of Vietnam and ASEAN member states. The work was expected to raise public awareness of fishing regulations, stressing the aim of ending violations in foreign waters. Reportedly, local owners of trawlers signed a document to commit to not fishing in foreign waters as well as to join hands with functional forces to conduct legal fishing in Vietnam’s waters and strictly safeguard the national sovereignty over sea and islands. Vietnam to play more active role at U.N.: PM
At a meeting with U.N. Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed in New York on May 16 (local time), the PM stressed that the year 2022 is of great significance as it marks the 45th anniversary of Vietnam’s U.N. membership. SEA Games 31: Quang Ninh to offer invitation cards for women’s football semi-finals

(Photo: VNA) Quang Ninh (VNA) – Quang Ninh northeastern province on May 18 morning will offer 14,500 invitation cards for the women’s football semi-finals of the ongoing SEA Games 31, a local official has said. Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Manh Ha stated that the move was finalised following a discussion with the Asian Football Confederation. The Thailand-Philippines fixture will kick off at 3.30pm and the Vietnam-Myanmar game at 7pm on the same day at the 16,000-seat Cam Pha Stadium of the province. The Culture and Sports Department will be responsible for the distribution of the cards. The plan for the final must be made on the basis of the results of the semi-finals, Ha added.
