A new beachfront park on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, which runs along the coast in Da Nang City, opened to the public this week as part of a larger plan to create more public beachfront spaces in the coastal city. According to the plan, three more beachfront parks are scheduled to open by the end of this year, and the city government is currently working with investors to build a public path to the Ngu Hanh Son coastal area. Public support for new parks For decades, Nguyen Van Tuan, 57, has spent his mornings cycling on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and swimming at local beaches. As a longtime resident, the new park, named Ha Khe Park, is a very welcome treat. “In the past, the area was full of garbage and weeds. The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is working on perfecting governmental Decree No.153/2020/ND-CP which regulates privately-placed corporate bond issuances. One of the highlights of the amended decree is gearing individual professional investors’ attention to bond products of better quality, mandating enhanced conditions from service providers, and adding regulations about the rights and responsibilities of market supervisory bodies. The MoF is working on perfecting regulations on corporate bond issuance and trading Accordingly, in light of the proposed amended Decree, individual professional investors need to possess a bond value touching VND1 billion ($43,470), stock investment value reaching VND2 billion ($86,950), and an account value (not using margins) maintained at least six months. Vung Boi - De Gi, an unspoiled destination in Phu Cat District around 40 km from Quy Nhon Town, has become the center of attention after some of the giant creatures were spotted off the beach earlier this month. The beach is famous for its clear, blue waters. Lensman Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan of Quy Nhon said he and his friends hired a boat to reach the area where the whales are. Diving expert and local tour guide Tommy Toan said that he spotted the whales a month ago. Initially he saw eight whales but now there are only two left, a male and a female. Toan said he first encountered the whales on July 26 when he was taking tourists to Hon Trau Islet, about 8 kilometers from the shore. Hanoi is facing an influenza A vaccine shortage. Between January and April, the city saw some 400 Influenza A patients per month. The figure increased to 556 cases in May and 887 cases in June. According to the Vietnam National Children's Hospital, over the past month, between 200-300 children came for Influenza A vaccination a day. An inoculation centre in Nam Tu Lien District reported that many people are going to the facility for the Influenza A vaccine, but it has run out of it. Some Hanoi communal medical stations have also ran out of the vaccine. People have to register and pay for this service, but supply is limited with rising demand.
