Russian experts have joined the preservation of President Ho Chi Minh’s body for over 50 years since he passed away in 1969. Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh today met a delegation of Russian scientists to whom he extended thanks for their support in keeping the embalmed body of Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh unharmed. Addressing the event, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu highlighted the province’s efforts to recover the industry, asking Hanoi for advices to help her province achieve its goal of welcoming 905,000 visitors this year. Dak Lak is home to 49 ethnic groups, 41 accredited relics and the gong culture – a UNESCO world cultural heritage. It also houses 228 lodging facilities and a convenient transport system. In 1992, when the agreement between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union became invalid, with permission by the Vietnamese and Russian Governments, the Mausoleum Management Board and VILAR switched to direct cooperation in preserving the body of the President. Addressing the conference, PM Chinh said when President Ho Chi Minh passed away in 1969 at the age of 79, with the endless love and gratitude for the leader and to realize the strong aspiration of the entire Party, military and people, the Politburo and the Party Central Committee decided to preserve his corpse in the long term and to build a mausoleum so that his reputation, great career, and enormous devotion would exist forever in the heart and mind of every Vietnamese people and become an everlasting symbol of the national solidarity and unity. Vietnam Medi Pharm Expo to return to HCM City in August

Tra Vinh nurtures private sector to kickstart economy
In the first half of this year, Tra Vinh province has issued registration certificates to 250 businesses. Among which, there are 165 one-member limited liability companies; 45 multi-member limited liability companies; 20 private enterprises; 20 joint stock companies; and 151 affiliated units. The overall amount of registered capital hit around $169 million, and the total number of registered personnel reached nearly 3,800 individuals. There are just under 3,000 active businesses with a total capitalisation of $2.1 billion and nearly 90,800 workers. Some 44 of those businesses are foreign-invested firms. In addition, almost 500 firms and affiliated units were registered for expanded business lines, capital, and other adjustments, increasing the total extra capital to $143 million.
