ASEAN, China to hold forum on health cooperation

Illustrative image (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - The 4th China-ASEAN Forum on Health Cooperation will be held from September 14 to 16 in Nanning, the capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. As one of the high-level forums of the 19th China-ASEAN Expo , slated from September 16 to 19, the hybrid forum aims to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields of health between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries in the post-COVID-19 era and strengthen health system resilience. According to the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, the forum will feature a plenary session. A joint statement will be released, and several cooperation agreements will be signed. There will be seven sub-forums on collaboration in disease prevention and control, health emergency cooperation, and maternal and child health exchange and cooperation. The man, who declined to give his name, said he made the decision in hopes of finding a new job with a better income. He said he never wanted to mention the reasons why he quit because “it only makes me feel so depressed.” While the salary was too low to secure his family’s living conditions, the job also required him to work more than 10 hours a day, making him constantly tired, both physically and mentally. “The work has been overloaded for years, especially during the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said. Ten Vietnamese named among world’s best scientists

Ten Vietnamese working in the country have been listed among the world's best scientists by research.com, a reputable scientist ranking website. Four scientists from Vietnam National University-Hanoi (Photo: vnu.edu.vn) The ranking is based on D-index (Discipline H-index), which includes papers and citation values for an examined discipline. It analysed the data of 166,880 scientists in 24 areas on Microsoft Academic Graph. The ten scientists named in the ranking specialise in six areas – engineering and technology, computer science, environmental science, material science, mechanical and aerospace engineering, and community health. They include four scientists from the Vietnam National University-Hanoi - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Son; Prof. Dr. Pham Hung Viet; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Binh Minh. International conference on life science held in Quy Nhon City

Prof. Tran Thanh Van, Chairman of the ‘Rencontres du Vietnam’ Association, shared that this 3-day conference presents 240 scientific reports, 14 of which are of leading doctorates and professors in the world in the field of life science.
