Lê Văn Bình, vice chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, said a severe drought and shortage of water at reservoirs is expected to occur across the province in upcoming months. The festival is expected to be held next year if weather conditions are favourable. Traffic accidents fall, but traffic jams increase
Traffic accidents have declined in the first half of this year, however, traffic jams have tended to be on the rise, particularly in big cities. According to the National Traffic Safety Committee, between January and June this year, Vietnam reported nearly 9,000 traffic accidents, killing 4,100 and injuring 7,000. The figure represented an on-year decrease of 6.19%, 0.75% and 11.44% respectively. Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — The annual Hùng Kings Memorial Festival (Hùng Temple Festival) hosted by the northern province of Phú Thọ is approaching. Organisers have put together an exciting list of events, including contributions from neighbouring provinces. The event will consist of various ceremonies and entertaining activities between April 21 and 25 (the 6th to 10th day of the third month of the Lunar New Year).
