Vietnamese real estate group Tan Hoang Minh was among 35 products, services, and organizations named winners at the International Innovation Awards (IIA) 2019 held in Singapore on Wednesday evening. Notable recipients of the ‘InnoCube’ were AIA Malaysia, Taiwan’s HIWIN Technologies Corp., Singapore’s Olam International Ltd., the Philippines’ Unilever, Indonesia’s PT MRT Jakarta, and the United Arab Emirates’ Roads and Transport Authority. Tan Hoang Minh Group was the only Vietnamese firm to receive the honor this year. According to Dato’ William Ng, president of Enterprise Asia, which is the organizer of the IIA, the goal of the awards is to present a broad spectrum of innovations that could spur greater innovation in the recipients’ respective countries and industries. Logo competition kicks off ahead of 45th anniversary of New Zealand-Vietnam ties
The New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam on Thursday launched a competition for creative logo designs that capture the strong bilateral relationship between the two countries in honor of the upcoming 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2020. The winning logo will feature innovative and modern design styles with clear shapes and colors, the embassy said at a ceremony held to launch the competition at the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts. Tra fish exports to Russia slump Export revenue of tra fish to the Russian market in the first 10 months of this year fell 31 percent compared to last year to 12.5 million USD, reported the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). According to the association, the sharp drop followed last year’s declining trend, and was likely to continue for the rest of 2019. VASEP said that in the last two years, Russia’s tra fish consumption has been modest, with unstable import prices. Meanwhile, the European country’s imports of frozen tra fish fillets have increased slightly by 3 percent, but that of frozen whole fish have fallen 29 percent./.
