Le Trung Kien, director of the HEZA, awarded an investment certificate to Tien Thanh IZ’s infrastructure development project in Tien Lang district According to Pham Huu Quang Huy, director of the Investment Management Department at the HEZA, in the first half of this year, the city’s industrial and economic zones (IZs and EZs) allured 21 new foreign-invested projects, and 18 existing foreign-invested projects asked for supplemental capital. Laos to sell electricity to Singapore soon
Vientiane (VNA) – Laos will soon sell electricity to Singapore under the Laos - Thailand - Malaysia - Singapore Power Integration Project (LTMS-PIP), Vientiane Times reported. The power purchase agreement was signed by the Lao state-owned Electricite du Laos (EDL) and Singapore’s Keppel Infrastructure Holdings last week. Accordingly, Laos will export 30 MW of electricity in the dry season and 100 MW in the rainy season to Singapore in 2022 and 2023. LTMS-PIP was initiated by the four countries in September 2014 to trade power among the neighbouring countries through the ASEAN Economic Community and ASEAN Power Grid. The design won first place in a contest held by the Hanoi management board for traffic structure investment projects and the Vietnam Association of Architects in October 2021, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, chairman of the Hanoi People's Council, said Tuesday. The main bridge will be 900 meters long. The entire length of the bridge and its accompanying roads that will run through Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung and Long Bien districts will be 5.5 km. The contest winners said their design blends tradition with modernity. Outside the dome-like structure that will house six lanes – three in each direction, there will be pedestrian lanes.
