The following article tries to provide some answers to the question as to how coffee prices would be like this year. Coffee price hikes? Yes, that’s right because the London Robusta coffee price, which has been used by Vietnamese coffee traders as a benchmark, escalated from US$1,073 per ton in April 2020 to US$2,384 on December 30, 2021. Meanwhile, the New York Arabica coffee price soared from 92.70 cents/lb in May 2020 to 252.35 cents/lb, or a surge of 159.65 cents/lb equivalent to +US$3,520/ton, on December 7, 2021.
