ECO-SUS is a modern art project of 12 domestic and foreign artists: Pham Thai Binh, Cotizas Del Valle, Vu Xuan Dong, Tri Minh, Trinh Minh Tien, Nguyen The Son, Vuong Van Thao, Le Dang Ninh, Pham Khac Quang, Phan Quang, Nguyen Tran Uu Dam and Vu Kim Thu, who are working in the fields of contemporary art and painting in Vietnam.

The project is a combination of artists and the ICISE Quy Nhon, which has welcomed 15 Nobel Prize-winning scientists and many famous scientists won other prestige awards.

The series of enthusiastic works of the 12 artists on display at the precinct of ICISE Quy Nhon provide viewers with different emotions than the “traditional” exhibition venues. Those who attend the exhibition have the opportunity to experience many different levels of emotion through watercolour paintings, iron welding installations, engraved installations, shaping works and modern art works calling for the protection of the marine environment.

The exhibition is considered as a “prelude” to the contemporary trend in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh.

Notably, a special seminar with famous artist Nguyen Tran Uu Dam will be held on April 9.

The exhibition will last until August 8, 2021.

With Vietnam continuing to suspend international flights and halting entry for all foreigners, except special cases, as a measure to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, CNBC urged its readers to visit the country once the pandemic passes.

It said though international tourists to Vietnam typically head north to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay or south to Ho Chi Minh City, central Vietnam, home to many UNESCO heritage sites and popular tourist destinations, is well worth exploring.

Central Vietnam has long been famous on the country’s tourism map for three UNESCO heritage sites – ancient town Hoi An, former imperial capital Hue, and My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam Province – and popular beach city Da Nang.

According to CNBC , several years ago, a small number of resorts bet travelers would be attracted to the sleepier parts of Vietnam. Anantara, a luxury brand from the Minor Hotels group, was one of them.

Minor Hotels opened Anantara Quy Nhon Villas in 2018 as the first five-star international hotel, in a part of Vietnam that received few international visitors, CNBC said.

Quy Nhon Town, blessed with a 42-kilometer coastline, dubbed the “Maldives of Vietnam,” is now a rising star on central Vietnam’s tourism map as a quieter, less touristy destination with a mostly fishing population heading out to sea in coracles to earn a living.

“Another attraction to the country’s interior is the colossal Son Doong Cave,” the channel said.

Son Doong in central Quang Binh Province is estimated to be between 400 and 450 million years old, but only “discovered” in 2009. The cave, with a total length of nine kilometers, was declared the world’s largest and opened to tourists in 2013, four years after members of the British Cave Research Association finished their exploration.

Now, Son Doong, part of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO heritage site, is a fast-emerging tourist destination in the country.

Traveler habits are changing as people across the world are bypassing big cities in favor of smaller destinations that attract fewer tourists, and outside activities like hiking and biking are drawing more interest than before, CNBC noted.

The channel also included other destinations worth visiting post-pandemic like Normandy in France, Kagawa in Japan, and Dandenongs in Australia.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc last week ordered relevant agencies to map out plans for Covid-19 vaccine passport implementation and reopening of international flights to soon help tourism and aviation sectors recover.

Vietnam has recorded 908 community transmission cases in its latest Covid-19 outbreak since Jan. 28. Most of the 13 affected localities have now passed many days without any domestic transmissions.

With the Covid-19 outbreak more or less contained, domestic air travel demand has returned to normal, with many cities and provinces, including Hai Phong, Hanoi, HCMC, and Quang Ninh, allowing tourism services to resume.

This is the first time VnExpress Marathon comes to Nha Trang. During the Super Early Bird phase, entry for the five kilometer distance would be a low VND250,000 ($10.83) and for the 42 kilometer event, VND750,000.

Super Early Birds ticket sales will last for a month, from March 19 to the end of April 19. The Nha Trang tournament marks the largest team discount for VnExpress marathons ever. The larger the number of groups, the higher the discount. For teams exceeding 100 athletes, and for every 100 extra runners, the price would be reduced by 2 percent. The highest discount is 49 percent for groups of 1,300 people.

This policy is expected to attract many running groups, which play an increasingly important role in inspiring people to exercise. Previously, at VnExpress Marathon in Hanoi, Hue, Quy Nhon and Ha Long, many groups bought BIBs for hundreds of people.

VnExpress Marathons always gather professional runners from across Vietnam thanks to its excellent services from registration, reception, distribution of BIBs to race support. Among thousands of runners participating in VnExpress’s tournaments, many people attend for the first time.

VnExpress Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang 2021, co-organized by VnExpress and Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, will commence on Sept. 19.

At the event, the organising board presented certificates of merit from the Ministry of Defence to 10 excellent young faces of the army in 2020; and certificates of merits from the Chairman of General Department of Politics to 18 promising young faces in the army in 2020 and 90 cadres who made remarkable achievements in youth union’s activities in the 2016-2020 period.

A similar ceremony was also held in Hanoi to praise 10 outstanding young faces of 2020 of the Border Guard High Command.

Meanwhile, in Quy Nhon City, a dialogue took place between Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of People’s Committee with union members and youth in the province.

Within the dialogue, young people spoke out their opinions on vocational training and support for youth’s start-ups, while calling for more polities on improving youth’s spiritual lives and their access to information and technology.

Can Tho City’s authorities also hosted a similar dialogue with local young people and youth union members the same day, during which they pledged to have more supportive mechanisms and policies to facilitate youth start-ups.

On the occasion of the HCYU’s 90th founding anniversary, an exhibition opened at Hoa Lo Prison in Hanoi yesterday, displaying photos and objects on the contributions made by generations of Vietnamese youths to the national liberation and independence.

Also, on March 18, the Bac Lieu Provincial Youth Union presented gifts to border guard soldiers and officers at Cai Cung Border Post in Hoa Binh District. The provincial youth union also handed over 1,000 books tittles to Long Thanh Commune in order to encourage reading habit among students and children in the locality.

Accordingly, VNR officially opened ticket sales for the enhanced number of trains from 9:00 am today, March 26.

The company announced that in addition to maintaining its daily operation of the trans-nation Thong Nhat (reunification) passenger trains, from April 29 to March 3, dozens of other trains on various routes will be added to the nation’s rail system.

Specifically, in the northern region, the TH1/TH2 trains will be added to the Hanoi – Thanh Hoa route. For the Hanoi – Vinh route, in addition to the regular trains NA1/NA2 and SE35/SE36, on April 29 and 30, additional trains coded NA3/NA4, NA7/NA8, NA9 and NA12 will be on service. The Hanoi – Dong Hoi route runs more trains coded QB1, QB2, QB3, QB4 and QB5 on April 29.

In the southern region, VNR plans to run more trains from Ho Chi Minh City to the provinces attracting a large number of tourists during the holidays, such as to Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang and Phan Thiet.

In particular, during the upcoming holidays as well as over the summer, VNR will cooperate with the UNESCO Association of Hanoi to organise charter trains from Hanoi to Dong Hoi and Hue and vice versa, while at the same time coordinating with the People’s Committees of Quang Binh and Thua Thien Hue provinces to build stimulus packages with many preferential and attractive policies designed to serve passengers traveling to Central Vietnam during the summer.

To ensure the absolute safety of passengers, VNR will continue to maintain measures to prevent COVID-19, so far implemented effectively during the past three outbreaks, including spraying disinfectant on the trains and at the stations, applying social distancing for passengers in the waiting rooms and when loading the train, enhancing environmental sanitation and disinfection, providing hand sanitiser and antiseptic solution, and measuring temperatures of passengers when entering the station.
