HCM City banks and tourism businesses discuss solutions to help the later access loans with an interest rate subsidy of 2 per cent under Government support policies. — VNS Photo Thu Hang Struggling tourism businesses in HCM City are in dire need of credit to recover but are finding it very difficult to access the subsidised loans under the Government’s Decree 31 that took effect in May, according to the city's Department of Tourism. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, its deputy director, said implementation of the decree, which involves a 2 per cent interest subsidy, would keep businesses hit by the COVID-19 crisis afloat. The tourism industry, which accounts for more than 10 per cent of the city’s economy, desperately want the subsidised loans to recover, she told a conference on Thursday. Construction of the No.4 ring road to kick off in mid-2023
The aim is to ensure the completion of the ring road by 2026 and to put it into operation from 2027. The authorities of Hanoi and neighboring cities/provinces in the Capital Zone responsible for the construction of the No.4 ring road are expected to complete the preparation by January 31, 2023 and begin works no later than June 30. Speaking at the event, Chairman of the N.A.’s Committee for Legal Affairs Hoang Thanh Tung said following feedback, the draft law now has 7 chapters and 79 articles, up 5 articles from the version submitted at the N.A.’s third meeting. It also upholds the role of every citizen in overseeing activities of officials and cadres to uncover and fight corruption and negative behaviors, optimize democracy, and increase public responsiveness in the implementation of democracy at grassroots levels, he said. Regulations on the establishment of people’s inspection committees at all grassroots levels were also mentioned in the draft law to ensure fairness in the non-State sector.
