As a child, Nyamaa Dolgorsuren was raised on the streets of Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia with her younger sister. Carrying hundreds of pumping pipes, these barges looked like a school of octopuses from afar. After a year of being chased by police and the border guard, the gang started mooring on smaller branches of rivers and operating at night instead of in daylight. When they finish their illegal mining for the night, to hide from law enforcement agencies, they go to HCM City and Long An Province via the Soài Rạp, Gò Gia and Đồng Tranh rivers. On December 30, key transport links including Van Don International Airport, Ha Long –Van Don Expressway and Ha Long International Passenger Port will be officially inaugurated and put into operation. The Ha Long-Van Don Expressway in particular will help to reduce the travel time from Hanoi to Van Don to only 2.5 hours instead of four hours. The Ha Long-Van Don Expressway is 60km long and has received a total investment of VND12 trillion from the BOT Bien Cuong Joint Stock Company, as well as from the state budget. The expressway which connects to the Hanoi-Hai Phong highway, also passes through Bach Dang bridge and then straight to Van Don. According to design, the expressway has a top speed of 100 km per hour and a total width of 24.5 metres. The signposts and toll stations along the highway have been completed.
