The 15th National Radio Festival will kick off in HCM City on August 4. Photo lienhoanphatthanh.vov.vn HCM City (VNS/VNA) - More than 200 entries from 86 radio stations nationwide will compete for awards at the 15th National Radio Festival held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 4-6. The event is organised by Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and its partners, the municipal People’s Committee and Radio the Voice of HCM City, aiming to honour producers, directors, reporters, broadcasters, hosts and technician crew. The nominees will compete in six categories, including reportage, editorials, talk shows, radio stories, audio plays, and live shows. This year, the organisers will also give awards for best broadcasters and hosts and two technician awards. They will also organise workshops and forums for people working in radio stations nationwide to have opportunities to share their experiences. The medal was obtained by Huynh Vu Nhu Giang, who competed in the 13-15 age group. From July 29 to August 2, eight swimmers and three coaches of Vietnam joined the stage, which gathered 103 athletes from six countries and territories. The Vietnamese athletes competed in all age groups of over 20, 16-18 and 13-15. Phung Ngoc Thuy, head of the Vietnamese synchronised swimming delegation, said the team’s participation was mainly to learn from and experience international competition environment, as the sport event brought together many strong teams such as Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The gold went to Pham Quoc Viet, Bui Anh Tuan and Nguyen Quang Tri who topped the men's poomsae (performance) team event. The women's team of Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Truong Pham Phuong Khanh and Le Thụy Thu Van took the silver. Viet took his second medal with a bronze in the men's poomsae individual event. Duo Tri and Le Tran Kim Uyen secured a bronze in the mixed doubles poomsae. Earlier, the e-sport team finished third in the men's team Arena of Valor event after beating Brunei in the playoff match.
