At the seminar (Source: VNA) Moscow (VNA) – A seminar on Russia’s integration in ASEAN was held in Moscow on April 25 on the occasion of the ongoing 32nd ASEAN Summit in Singapore, during which participants highlighted Vietnam’s role in ASEAN-Russia ties. Many reports affirmed Vietnam is a leading factor in ASEAN in the fields of politics, economy, and culture, thus pushing development in the region. In his speech, head of the expert council of the Eurasian Ideas Foundation (EIF) Grigory Trofimchuk, said Vietnam, the only ASEAN member country signing the free trade agreement (FTA) with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), will be an important bridge helping Russia connect with other ASEAN nations. Festival to highlight Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Day

(Photo: the-afc.com) Hanoi (VNA) - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has chosen to feature Vietnamese goalkeeper Dang Thi Kieu Trinh on their website, ahead of the Asian Women’s Cup early next month. In their feature, AFC called Trinh an ever-present figure at the Asian Cup. The 32-year-old made her debut at the National Championship in 2006 and now has competed in all five editions of the competition. Report highlights Vietnam’s social mobility

A new report "Social Mobility and Equality of Opportunity in Vietnam: Trends and Impact factors” launched by Oxfam on March 29 highlighted the problem and the threat it poses to the country’s sustainable growth. The report consolidates data from the Vietnam Household Living Standards Survey 2004 -14 and interviews with about 700 people over the last two years in three provinces of Lao Cai, Nghe An and Dak Nong in the north, central and Central Highland regions, respectively.
