Total visitors to Ho Chi Minh City exceeded 11 million in the first six months of this year, the city’s deputy chairwoman Phan Thi Thang reported at a seminar held in north-central Nghe An Province on Friday afternoon. The figure, including nearly 500,000 international arrivals, represented an increase of 43 percent over the same period last year. Australia’s new foreign minister to visit Vietnam
Coming at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, she is expected to hold discussions on fostering the Vietnam-Australia strategic partnership and the ASEAN-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership, and regional and global issues of mutual interest, foreign ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said. Wong was Australia's first Minister for Climate Change in 2007-10 and Minister for Finance in 2010-13. She became foreign minister last month. Vietnam and Australia established diplomatic relations in 1973 and became strategic partners in 2018. New Mien Dong (Eastern) Coach Station remains deserted
The old Mien Dong (Eastern) Coach Station is more crowded than the new coach station. Currently, the coach station is serving routes from Quang Tri Province to the Northern localities with a distance of over 1,000 kilometers facing high competition with airplanes. According to the Municipal Department of Transport, the connectivity infrastructure is the core motivation to serve passengers at the station.
