The event was attended by Chief of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command Major General Le Quang Dao, Deputy Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong, and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Duy Tien town Pham Hong Thanh. The contest drew the participation of 68 high school students in the areas. The program aimed to raise public awareness of information about national sea and islands, as well as the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) 1982, the Law of the Sea of Vietnam 2012, and the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard 2018, among others. The activity contributed to building patriotism and raising people’s responsibility for the cause of protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands, strengthening solidarity among troops and students, youths, teachers and the locals. Coast guards raise local fishermen’s awareness of legal fishing
Delegates and owners of trawlers learnt about regulations and legal procedures for fishing areas according to laws of Vietnam and ASEAN member states. The work was expected to raise public awareness of fishing regulations, stressing the aim of ending violations in foreign waters. Reportedly, local owners of trawlers signed a document to commit to not fishing in foreign waters as well as to join hands with functional forces to conduct legal fishing in Vietnam’s waters and strictly safeguard the national sovereignty over sea and islands. Exhibition on Xieng Khouang – Plain of Jars Defensive Campaign to be held in May
The press meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Director of the Department of Political Education and Information Senior Colonel Tran Ngoc Anh, Deputy Director of the Institute of Military History Senior Colonel Duong Hong Anh, and Head of the Information and Education Commission of the Nghe An provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Huong. Doctor dedicated his life to aids lepers in Central Highlands

Trần Sỹ Tố, head of Ea Na Leprosy Treatment Department (also known as Ea Na Leprosy Camp) of Đắk Lắk Dermatology Centre in Tuôr A Hamlet of Dray Sáp Commune, Krông Ana District, is much-loved by leprosy patients and their relatives. He is considered one of the family. It is only 20km from Buôn Ma Thuột City, but few people know that Tuor A Hamlet used to be an isolated area for a long time. Tuor A Hamlet has been renovated with kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and medical centres, including the leprosy treatment department. This achievement is thanks to the efforts and contributions of many generations of staff, doctors, nurses and volunteers who have silently devoted themselves to this community.
