During the 162km eighth stage from Quảng Bình to Huế City on Thursday, Duẩn, a top performer in the team, was met with injury near Hiền Lương Bridge in Quảng Trị. Lê Quốc Vũ and Huỳnh Hoàng Phúc of Cần Thơ finished first and second respectively in the 162km stage from Quảng Bình to Huế City. Vũ triumphed with a time of 3:58.06. Cần Thơ also won the team race, their first win in the 30 stage event. Military Zone 7 lead overall. Despite not being in top three of this stage, Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of the Military Zone 7 retained the yellow jersey for the best overall time after eight stages. The event was co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Swiss Embassy in Vietnam for the two countries to share methods and solutions in the field. Addressing the forum, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said the Swiss Government has supported the private sector development in Vietnam, particularly in optimising usage of natural resources and translating the clean production concept into reality. Cyclists compete in the sixth stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament yesterday. — Photo voh.com.vnViet Nam News HÀ NỘI — HCM City’s cyclists shone at the sixth stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament yesterday. Sprinter Lê Nguyệt Minh of HCM City-Minh Giang triumphed in the 140km stage from Thanh Hóa to Vinh City with a time of 3:21.06 and an average speed of 41.77km per hour. Minh’s older brother Lê Văn Duẩn of VUS-HCM City and captain Mai Nguyễn Hưng of VUS-HCM City were the runners-up.
