The delegation includes Vietnam's number one cueist Tran Quyet Chien (billiards), Hoang Thi Phuong Giang, Duong Thuy Vi and Pham Quoc Khanh (wushu), Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat (muay Thai) and the women's beach handball team. At the previous event hosted in Poland in 2017, Vietnam scored one gold medal thanks to muay athlete Bui Yen Ly. This year's event will take place from July 7 to 17 in Birmingham, Alabama, the U.S., having been delayed one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It features 30 sports in 54 disciplines.
