More than 400 Vietnamese women aged 18 to 27 have signed up for the first Miss Sea Tourism Việt Nam 2022 competition launched in Nha Trang City,  Khánh Hòa Province. The contest is part of Khánh Hòa Province's efforts to boost tourism recovery this year. From the aspirants aged 18 to 27 and at least 1.60m tall, 20 candidates will be shortlisted for the semifinal round to be held on Champa Island in Nha Trang from July 7 to 9. At the region's biggest sports event in the Philippines in 2019, Thảo couldn’t participate because of injury. After that, she started a family and also did not set a date to return to competitions, partly because of her small child and partly because of the influence of the COVID–19 pandemic. After two years away from events, late last year, Thảo returned to compete at the National Athletics Championship, where she reminded everyone of her prowess to take gold with 6.27m. The two teams (number 1 and 2) of the Philippines both got a 2-0 win over Singapore to grab the overall win in the curtain-raiser of the men’s division. Thailand had to edge out Malaysia 2-1 in the conclusive third match to ink their first win in the qualifying round. In the first match, Thailand lost to Malaysia 2-1, but they then tied the score with a 2-0 win in the second match. In the third match, Thailand took a 2-1 win over Malaysia to draw first blood. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – An integrated military and civilian medical programme for public health to 2030 has been approved by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam. Among its objectives, this programme looks to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment at integrated military and civilian medical establishments, especially those in remote, border, coastal and insular areas. At grassroots level, it aims to assist infrastructure and equipment upgrades for 30 - 50 establishments of this type. About 5,000 - 10,000 medical workers are set to receive training while more than 200,000 residents in remote, border, coastal, insular and disaster-prone areas will benefit from check-ups and treatment under the programme.
