Jakarta (VNA) - The Indonesia-Vietnam Friendship Association will work harder to promote cooperation between the two countries in various areas, from culture, arts, education and sports to investment, production and business, an online meeting in Jakarta on January 15 heard. The gathering saw the participation of the association’s president Budiasa Sastrawinata, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Pham Vinh Quang, and Indonesia’s newly-accredited Ambassador to Vietnam, Denny Adbi, along with more than 30 members of the association. Participants affirmed they will continue with their investment, business, and cooperation in Vietnam, and hoped that the two governments will further facilitate operations in the country. Host of activities for disadvantaged kids in HCM City during Mid-Autumn Festival
HCM City (VNA) - The Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union will present more than 2,000 gifts worth over 500 million VND (21,600 USD) to disadvantaged local children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival. It’s one of various activities to be rolled out by the city’s youth union in support of underprivileged children, especially children of local workers, until October 4. In cooperation with Vietnam Fatherland Front committees in districts, the youth union has also organised art programmes, folk games, and film screenings, and presented scholarships to children with outstanding academic results.
