Organised by the MultiMedia JSC and its partners, the competition aims to discover child models for careers at home and abroad. It encourages children to demonstrate their modelling abilities and gives them an opportunity to work as professionals in the future. Organisers hope that garment producers and designers will pay more attention to boosting the country's fashion industry. Children all over Việt Nam are out of school and excited about the summer holiday. How are they going to spend their free time? Phương Mai, San Hà and Ngọc Diệp talk to kids and their parents. Huỳnh Phong Sơn, a 12-year-old student from HCM City’s Hóc Môn District, says his parents want him to spend time on physical activities this summer. But that’s not all. He’s taking English and singing classes as well. “I play football with my neighbours every afternoon, and I swim with my cousins and friends on the weekends,” Sơn says.
