Through Bach Mai Hospital's recent gene sequencing results, three people in Hanoi are detected to be infected with the sub-variant BA.5 of Omicron At a today press conference about the economic and social situation of Vietnam's capital city informed by the Hanoi People's Committee, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Health said that although the number of new cases of Covid-19 daily is decreasing sharply Hanoi has recorded three cases caused by the BA.5 sub-strain of Omicron coronavirus variant. Talking to the press, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health Vu Cao Cuong said that currently, Hanoi recorded 180 Covid-19 cases a day, much lower than a few months ago. Speaking at a working session with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee as part of his trip to Ben Tre, President Phuc lauded the province’s efforts in economic development, with its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) up 4.18 percent in the first half of this year. Ben Tre has combined agricultural restructuring with new-style rural area building, he said, stressing that the province has focused on developing value chains for local agricultural products. The leader pointed out challenges and limitations of the province, such as the severe impacts of climate change and rising sea levels, high poverty rate, poor production capacity, limited infrastructure, and a lack of quality personnel. Australian barista contest found the winner
The competition, part of the Taste of Australia event, was organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and supported by Vietnam’s Graduates from Australia Club (VGAC). It had two rounds – an online one held from May 12-June 4; and a final round held on June 25 in Ho Chi Minh City. All contestants registered for the online round submitted video clips with two cups with two different patterns from four subjects - Heart, Tulip, Rosetta and Swan. Fuel prices slightly decline after seven times in row of increase adjustment
Specifically, the retail price of E5RON92 bio-fuel was reduced to VND30,891 (US$1.3) per liter, a reduction of VND411 (US$0.018) per liter, meanwhile RON95-III gasoline price lessened to VND32,763 (US$1.4) per liter, a decrease of VND110 (US$0.0047) a liter. The price of diesel 0.05S was reduced to VND29,615 (US$1.27) per liter, a reduction of VND404 (US$0.017) per liter; kerosene lessened to VND28,353 (US$1.22) per liter, a reduction of VND432 (US$0.019) per liter, mazut oil 180CST 3.5S decreased to VND19,722 (US$0.85) per kilogram, a deduction of VND1,013 (US$0.043) per kilogram. According to the experts, the reduction session was not adequate with the seven consecutive sessions of increasing the fuel prices.
