On Monday, more than 55 chefs divided into 11 teams participated in an event to process hundreds of coconut-based delicacies in Ben Tre to set a world record in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Vietnamese cultural celebrity Nguyen Dinh Chieu (1822-1888), whose hometown was Ben Tre. The delicacies are made from different parts of the coconut tree, including coconut palm heart, shredded coconut, desiccated coconut, coconut milk, coconut water and sprouted coconut. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi, vice chairwoman of Ben Tre, said this was a great pride of Ben Tre people and the world record helps to promote its culture and tourism image to international visitors. Vietnam records 769 fresh Covid-19 infections on Tuesday
An additional 769 new Covid-19 infections were confirmed on Tuesday, raising the national tally to over 10.74 million, according to the Ministry of Health. Illustrative photo According to the ministry's report, most of the new patients are locally-transmitted cases confirmed in the country with some localities seeing the highest numbers including Hanoi (158), Phu Tho (62), Nghe An (54), Bac Ninh (40), and Son La (40). As of Tuesday evening, the number of Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to over 10.74 million. On June 28, an additional 6,653 more patients recovered from the disease, raising the number of recoveries in the country to over 9.66 million. Vietnamese ceramic artist sets two Guinness World Records

The ceramic works, created by Vietnamese artisan Nguyễn Hùng and Hương Việt Ceramic Company, include a sculpture of a toad and a carved and embossed ceramic plate. They have been recognised as the largest ceramic sculpture of a mythical creature and the largest carved ceramic plates, respectively. The sculpture of the toad, measuring 173.5cm in length, 110cm in width and 77.8cm in height, was made of clay and a unique enamel. Agro-forestry-fishery exports rake in 27.88 billion USD in 6 months

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, of the total value, the groups of key farm produce and forestry products contributed 11.37 billion USD and 9.1 billion USD, both growing by 8.8% and 3% year-on-year, respectively. Fishery products shipped overseas during the six months, meanwhile, reeled in 5.8 billion USD, up 40.8% annually. There were nine type of goods recorded an export revenue exceeding 1 billon USD in the period, namely coffee, rubber, cashew, vegetable-fruit, rice, Tra fish, shrimp, woodwork products, and inputs for production.
