Representatives of the University of Science under the Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City receive the ICT Education Award (Photo: tuoitre.vn) Hanoi (VNA) – Three representatives of Vietnam won ICT awards for 2019 of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO), according to the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA). The awards were presented at the ASOCIO-PIKOM Digital Summit that is taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 11 to 14. While national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines was honoured with the Outstanding User Organisation Award, the CMC Technology Corporation won the Outstanding ICT Company Award, and the University of Science under the Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City obtained the ICT Education Award. Prudence Foundation signs a strategic partnership with Junior Achievement Vietnam in Ha Noi on Monday to deploy the Cha-Ching Curriculum in primary schools in Ha Noi in 2019-2020 academic year. — Photo courtesy of Prudential Vietnam Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudential in Asia, has signed a strategic partnership with Junior Achievement Vietnam to adopt the Cha-Ching Curriculum in primary schools to teach students about finance. The Cha-Ching Curriculum is a structured programme with six 45-minute modular sessions with fun and hands-on learning. The partnership is expected to benefit 7,336 children at 31 primary schools in Ha Noi in the 2019-2020 academic year and will be expanded nation-wide in future. Planting trees can both combat global warming and increase incomes of citizens. The northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang has initiated a cooperative tree planting model, where paper companies work with local people to benefit both parties. During the 2017 forestation season, Vu Van Xuan, from Tan Bien 2 village, Tien Bo commune, Yen Son district, TuyenQuang province has received more than 20,000 acacia trees from An Hoa Paper Corporation, enough to cover nine hectares. After a year of applying scientific methods, his acacia trees are now growing stronger than ever.
