Viet Nam News LONDON — ASOS, the British online fashion retailer, announced on Monday it was banning the sale of silk, cashmere and mohair products, joining a wave of clothing firms to ditch the products. The animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) claims more than 140 international retailers had dropped mohair following its video depicting the maltreatment of goats killed for mohair. "We’ve updated our animal welfare policy," ASOS said in an email, saying it would "no longer be stocking" products containing silk, feathers and down, bone, teeth or shell (including mother-of-pearl), cashmere and mohair. The changes mean third party products are brought into line with existing rules for own-label ASOS design products, and add silk, cashmere and mohair to the policy. Viet Nam News HCM CITY – Online shopping platform Lazada.vn on Thursday announced that it would cooperate with international and domestic fashion and cosmetic companies to become the leading fashion and cosmetic online shopping platform in Việt Nam. The company said the market had great potential as many of its customers, most of whom are women, now care about these products. PNJ to expand retail system, online sales
Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) has said it will further expand its retail network and online sales and carry out customer segmentation to offer tailor-made designs meeting the needs of every customer. Speaking at the company’s annual general meeting in HCM City last Saturday, chairwoman Cao Thi Ngoc Dung said the company targets VND14.195 trillion (US$662.58 million) in revenues and VND882 billion ($38.68 million) in net profits, 30 per cent and 22 per cent higher than last year.
