The 13th Party Congress Resolution says Vietnam aims to become a developed country with high income by 2045, when it will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the country's establishment. This means that Vietnam has 24 more years to reach that goal. And it will be very difficult to turn this into reality if Vietnam still cannot become a ‘developing country with modern industry and higher average income’ by 2030. Vietnam logs 90 new domestic COVID-19 infections Vietnam recorded 102 new COVID-19 cases, including 90 domestically-transmitted and 12 imported, in the past six hours to 6pm on June 19, the Ministry of Health announced. Among the domestic cases, 31 were detected in Ho Chi Minh City, 18 in Bac Giang, 18 in Binh Duong, seven in Bac Ninh, five in Da Nang, three in Long An, two in Lang Son, two in Dong Nai, two in Ha Tinh, one in Nghe An and one in Nam Dinh. As of 18:00 on June 19, the country had logged 11,213 domestic infections and 1,687 imported cases. 175 COVID-19 patients given all-clear on June 20 The Ministry of Health reported that 94 new COVID-19 cases had been detected in the six hours from 12pm to 6pm June 20, all local infections. Ho Chi Minh City reported the most cases with 57, while 23 cases were detected in Bac Giang, 9 in Da Nang, three in Bac Ninh, and two in Nghe An. Vietnam is expected to continue receiving additional supplies of COVID-19 vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) through the COVAX Facility in the near future, including vaccines funded by the Chinese Government.
