Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has afffirmed that the government will seek measures to deal with the rising prices of commodities. Speaking at a tourism event on July 3, the PM said that currently, the Malaysian has spent a subsidy of 17.6 billion USD to stabilise the prices of necesities such as chicken, eggs, cooking oil, water, petrol and electricity. The country has given a number of short, middle and long-term solutions to easr people’s burden from rising prices of commodities , he said. He underlined that the Malaysian Government will continue to focus on programmes and initiatives that bring about prosperity and interest to people, ensuring that no one is left behind. Vietnam to solidify macro-economic stability: PM
Vietnam’s economy has performed well amid a difficult global environment in the first six months of the year. According to Chinh, Vietnam’s economy has performed well amid a difficult global environment in the first six months of the year. Chinh highlighted the GDP growth of 7.72% in the second quarter, the highest second-quarter growth since 2011, and the six-month GDP growth of 6.42%. Binh Phuoc posts nearly USD 700 million in H1 trade surplus
The administration said thanks to proactive moves to ensure material supply for manufacturing and diversify export markets, local businesses have maintained the strong recovery trend and enjoyed good exports growth. They exported over USD 1.95 billion worth of goods in H1, rising 23.26% from a year earlier and equivalent to 50.74% of this year’s target. Meanwhile, the import turnover stood at USD 1.26 billion. The People’s Committee noted though there remain difficulties in export markets and goods flows, thanks to the experience gained during the long social distancing period in 2021, businesses have gradually ensured material supply and kept supply chains uninterrupted, thus fulfilling export orders. Hanoi to build road tunnel in Hoan Kiem district
The Hanoi People's Committee has approved the feasibility study report of an investment project to build a road tunnel for both pedestrians and vehicles in Hoan Kiem district to improve traffic flow and ensure safety for pedestrians. A road tunnel in Hanoi The Hoan Kiem People’s Committee is assigned to be the investor of the project, with a total capital of over 100 billion VND (4.28 million USD) sourced from the district’s budget.
