Viet Nam News HCM CITY – In the heart of buzzing HCM City is a small group of young people teaching English to hearing-impaired students. They are part of the Hear.Us.Now (HUN) community project that offers education access to English language, computer science and life skills training. Led by Lê Đình Hiếu, the nonprofit HUN project proves that the impossible can be possible as long as group members deliver their best effort. The members of HUN are currently offering English lessons at Anh Minh Special School in the city’s Bình Thạnh District. Lê Đình Hiếu, who founded the project, has been recognised by Forbes as one of the country’s outstanding young faces. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and worked for a world-class financial group before giving it all up and returning home to launch HUN. Thương has brittle bone disease, which means her bones are fragile and break easily. About 80cm tall and weighing just 25kg, she uses a wheelchair for children and is unable to move easily. However, she takes care of most of the important jobs at the 5-year-old company located in Phú Xuyên District, south of Hà Nội, from brainstorming designs to closing deals and dealing with customers. Jack Ma revealed he would leave his role as executive chairman of Alibaba Group, the e-commerce and internet behemoth he has led for its entire 19-year existence. In a letter to the 86,000 employees of Alibaba, Ma stated that he would remain as executive chairman for a transition period of one year, at the end of which he will hand the reigns to Daniel Zhang, who has served as CEO of the firm since replacing Ma in that role three years ago.
