Held in Indonesia from August 1 – 14, the inaugural exercise was named Exercise Super Garuda Shield to reflect its expanded scope, with many countries participating or observing for the first time, the ministry added in its statement. Itis an annual bilateral exercise between the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) and the United States Indo-Pacific Command (Indopacom). Omicron sub-variant BA-2.75 found in Vietnam
The new Omicron BA-2.75 sub-variant of Covid-19 has been detected in Vietnam. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of Covid-19 cases has been on the rise again in Vietnam with around 2,000 infections per day. The country has also seen the appearance of new sub-variants, including BA-2.75. A man is given Covid-19 testing in Vietnam Sub-variant BA-2.75 was discovered in many countries in early July. Experts warned that this variant has mutations that could affect people’s immune system and be easily transmissible.
