PANO - A scientific seminar, “Comrade Vo Chi Cong with Vietnam’s revolution and the hometown of Quang Nam-Danang”, held on August 5th in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province, demonstrated glorious life of late President of the State Council Vo Chi Cong. The seminar, hosted by the Central Party Commission for Communication and Education, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration and Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, was attended by Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Party Commission for Communication and Education. US ratchets up origin-tracing on cotton materials
Kenneth Chan, senior director of Market Development at Renze Textile JSC, under Texhong Group, has unveiled a new process to monitor origin-tracing. A tracing system is slated to be put into operation in August for the subsidiaries of Texhong Group, after Chan informed the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association and the American Cotton Association (CCI) at a meeting earlier in June. This US has made major decisions on cotton origin-tracing that affects Vietnam and beyond, Duc Thanh Renze, one of eight Texhong member companies, is using American cotton for its products to ensure product quality and comply with strict requirements for export to the United States and EU. From March, customers were able to access the Texhong cotton tracing system to trace the details of their orders. Chan noted that Renze is focusing on sustainability and transparency. (Photo: VNA) Jakarta (VNA) – Vietnam claimed 183 medals, including 65 golds, 62 silvers and 56 bronzes, ranking third on the medal table at the 11th ASEAN Para Games , which concluded in Surakarta, Indonesia, on August 6. It was the highest number of medals Vietnam has ever achieved since it hosted the Games in 2003. The Vietnam ese team initially set a target to gain 35 – 40 gold medals at the regional games. Vietnam has broken 16 records this year, 14 of which were in swimming. Swimmer Vi Thi Hang set three new records, the highest among Vietnamese athletes, in the women’s 50m freestyle, 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle. Swimmers Vo Huynh Anh Khoa, Le Thi Dung, Trinh Thi Bich Nhu and Do Thanh Hai broke two records each. The Vietnamese delegation to the 2022 Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games) in Indonesia arrived home on Sunday after claiming 183 medals, including 65 golds, 62 silvers, and 56 bronzes, ranking third on the medal table at the biennial multi-sport event, which concluded a day before. It is the highest number of medals Vietnam has achieved since it hosted the Games in 2003. The Vietnamese team initially set a target to win 35-40 gold medals at the regional Games.
