A flight of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines had to return to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Monday while travelling to Japan to save a Japanese boy who suffered from severe nosebleeds. Around 1 hour and 45 minutes after leaving Noi Bai International Airport for Haneda in Japan, the 10-year-old boy suddenly had a nosebleed. Despite being given urgent care, the passenger’s condition did not improve as he experienced non-stop bleeding. As a precaution, the crew decided to return to Noi Bai to ensure medical assistance. A flight of Vietnam Airlines The boy was then taken to a hospital in Hanoi for treatment with support from Vietnam Airlines staff. His condition has improved and he has continued staying at the hospital to be monitored. He took the flight with his mother and sister. (Photo: Vietnam Airlines) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines ’ Flight VN384 on its way from Hanoi to Haneda (Japan) on August 8 had to return to the departing airport after more than 1 hour and 45 minutes to provide urgent care for a Japanese boy who had a health problem. The 10-year-old boy, among the 145 passengers on board, suffered a nosebleed. The flight attendant team immediately provided emergency assistance to him on the plane. The Railway Project Management Board under the Ministry of Transport was assigned to be investors in upgrading projects of roads, bridges and stations with a total length of nearly 1,000km. The project aimed at ensuring traffic safety, improving the quality of railway connectivity, enhancing the capacity of transport, creating favourable conditions for luring customers and cargo, and effectively exploiting railway infrastructure in the section of Vinh-Nha Trang. More helicopter rides proposed after Con Dao airport closes for upgrade
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on Monday said Con Dao Airport will be closed from April to December next year for an upgrade expected to increase its capacity from 400,000 to two million passengers a year in 2030. During the airport closure, tourists are still able to reach Con Dao Islands by helicopter from Vung Tau Town. There are currently two return helicopter rides a week every Friday and Sunday operated by the Southern Vietnam helicopter company. At a meeting Tuesday, Trinh Hang, director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, said Con Dao has been witnessing a surge in tourist numbers in recent years and the airport closure will affect travel demand. He proposed the Ministry of Transport to consider increasing helicopter rides from the mainland to Con Dao and launching commercial flights by helicopter from Ho Chi Minh City.
