The Ministry of Transport has announced a plan to strengthen inspection and crack down on taxi drivers' illegal practices, such as enticing passengers, overcharging or refusing to take passengers at the country's busiest airport, Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport in HCM City. Hanoi to spend nearly $3.9ml on overseas training for public officials
The capital city will give priority to young cadres or female cadres. Hanoi has made a plan to spend nearly VND90 billion (US$3.9 million) to train public servants in developed countries, according to the municipal People’s Committee. The committee said early this week that its overseas training project will focus on refreshing and enhancing professional knowledge and skills for around 500 cadres, civil servants, and public employees from the city’s six departments during the 2022-25 period. These departments need to make detailed plans for their qualified employees to take such refresher courses in Australia, Germany, France, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the US and among others, the committee added.
