The Corps has made great efforts to ensure weapons and technical equipment for missions; successfully complete the targets of maintenance, repair, synchronization, and storage of weapons and equipment as planned. The technical documents have been fully prepared while the technical training quality has been increasingly improved. In addition, the warehouses and workshops have been basically upgraded and reinforced with numerous new added equipment. He had tried to submit his application three times already, but failed because there were simply too many people ahead of him. Some people brought along a snack to munch as they waited. About two kilometers away, at 5:30 a.m., around 50 people were waiting in front of an immigration office on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. Demand for passports has soared after the application process was temporarily suspended for one month for "non-urgent" purposes. Since the beginning of this month, people have been flocking to immigration offices to apply for new passports or get old ones renewed. The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) reported last week by the Vietnam Electronic Industries Association (VEIA) that Apple has moved 11 factories from Chinese businesses in the supply chain to Vietnam, while other assemblers like Foxconn, Luxshare, Pegatron, and Wistron are ramping up production capacity in Vietnam. Do Thi Thuy Huong, general secretary of the VEIA, said that the electronic components manufacturing industry of Vietnam has its own advantages for those looking to relocate supply chains out of China to neighbouring countries. “A number of high-tech groups have been cultivating their projects in the northern provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang, and they will also do the same in some other potential localities,” Huong said.
