Grab Viet Nam expands service with Grab Bus

Grab Viet Nam expands its services with Grab Bus in the Viet Nam market — Photo courtesy of Grab Grab Viet Nam has begun a trial of bus-ticket booking service from HCM City to Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province. Users in these two areas can book bus tickets for the inter-regional route from Tan Son Nhat Airport in HCM City to Vung Tau City. There will be 24 bus routes per day operated by the Avigo Investment Holding Company. Grab Viet Nam expects to have an additional route from District 1 to District 7 in HCM City, which will be operated by the City View Company and will have 44 bus routes per day. Users can easily select the trip, preview details of the trip, and update the vehicle location at any time on the app. In addition, users can pay via Moca e-wallet on the Grab app or via their credit or debit card, and then receive a QR code to scan when boarding. Draft law designed to lift banks’ role in e-commerce

Payments for e-commerce transactions must be made via banks or authorised payment intermediary services, according to the draft of the amended Law on Tax Management (Photo: cafef.vn) The draft law, which was recently released by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) for recommendation, aims to better manage and collect taxes on e-commerce businesses, which have developed strongly in Vietnam in recent years. Besides the tax agency, it is necessary to have close co-ordination among other relevant ministries and agencies to make tax management more effective, according to the draft law. Accordingly, the MoF has proposed that the tax department will build databases and apply electronic tax services, such as electronic tax declaration, electronic invoices and online tax payments, ensuring that 100% of taxpayers will have access to these facilities to catch up with e-commerce. Nearly 5,000 flights delayed, cancelled in two months

Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - Five domestic airlines reported nearly 5,000 delayed or cancelled flights, accounting for 17 percent of the total operated flights, in the first two months of the year. The number increased by 4.2 percent from the previous month and posted a 0.9 percent year-on-year rise. According to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV), Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific, Bamboo Airways and Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) operated a total of 29,363 flights in the two-month period, up 22.8 percent from the same period last year. Of which, Jetstar Pacific had the highest rate of delayed or cancelled flights with 838, accounting for 25.5 percent of its scheduled routes. First fast food chain sells plant-based burgers in Singapore

Illustrative image (Photo: Internet) Hanoi (VNA) – Japan’s Mos Food Services Inc. has teamed up with the US food technology startup Impossible Foods Inc. to offer plant-based burger patties in Singapore, becoming the first major fast-food chain to introduce them in the city-state. The Japanese operator of Mos Burger and Mos Cafe outlets aims to draw business from health-and eco-conscious customers as plant-based meat is less greenhouse emissions-intensive than animal meat. The company is preparing to release it in other countries as well. Jun Takifuka, its executive officer and general manager at the firm's international headquarters, said Mos Food has already sold plant-based hamburgers in Taiwan.
