A beauty contest aimed at honoring the ao dai and promoting Vietnam’s tourism activities kicked off on Sunday afternoon in Hanoi. According to Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, a representative of the Miss Ao Dai 2022 organizing committee, the competition seeks to find women who are prepared to devote themselves to promoting tourism in Vietnam and honoring the ao dai , a hallmark Vietnamese costume. The Vietnamese Government has been making unremitting efforts to end violence against women and children over the past years, paying special attention to the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on people.
