Thailand exported 199,780 tonnes of sugar to Việt Nam in Q1 of 2021. On June 15, 2021, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade began to apply trade remedies to the commodity, driving down the figure to just 33,682 tonnes in Q1 of 2022.
