Viet Nam News Huế - Then Cafe in the former royal capital city of Huế is among eight recipients of grants from the Danish Culture Development and Exchange Fund (CDEF) to carry out and develop their activities during 2018. Located at 63 Lê Trung Định Street, Then Cafe is a rare art and culture hub for the city’s artists to meet, exchange and work together. It has become a destination not just for Huế’s artists, as well as for those across Việt Nam and the world. Its owner Trần Tuấn was born and raised in Huế, and graduated from the Huế Fine Arts University. His installation artwork Forefinger was displayed in the Singapore Biennale 2014. GMS transport projects make Vietnam better connected
Vietnam is the only country in the GMS that has participated in all three economic corridors. They include the north-south corridor that connects Vietnam with China, the east-west to link Thua Thien-Hue province and Da Nang city in the central region with Laos and all the way to Thailand and Myanmar and finally the southern one bridging HCM City with Phnom Penh and Bangkok. According to Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho, with financial aid from sponsors, especially the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and concerted efforts, Vietnam has been completing works within these important connectivity corridors. Workshop seeks to connect Gia Lai province with Australian firms
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province in coordination with the University of Canberra held a workshop on creating important value chains for the Vietnamese and Australian economies in Gia Lai on April 4. The workshop aimed to introduce research related to hi-tech agriculture, production of safe vegetables, and potential projects in Gia Lai province while creating an environment to connect Australia with Gia Lai investors to participate in the global value chain within the framework of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
