Vietnam reported one imported case of Covid-19 this morning, February 26, increasing the country’s total Covid-19 patient numbers to 2,421, the Ministry of Health said.

The case is a 28-year-old Vietnamese woman who entered the country from Cambodia via the Moc Bai international border gate in the southern province of Tay Ninh on February 23. The woman, who was quarantined right after entry, is staying at the provincial General Hospital for the treatment.

The woman is from HCM City’s District 4. She tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.

As of February 25, Vietnam’s total number of Covid-19 locally-infected cases reached 1,520, according to the Ministry of Health.

Currently, around 76,495 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or came from pandemic-hit areas are now under quarantine, with 580 people in hospitals, 12,038 in quarantine sites and 63,877 at home.
