ADAF Service launches command exercise for regimental combat crews

Addressing the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Vu Van Kha, Acting Commander of the ADAFS, stressed that the AFADS’s combat readiness mission and skies protection and management place urgent requirements on missile regiments, particularly to improve combined combat strength, combat readiness, collaboration, management of weapons and technical equipment, and so on. The exercise will give the units’ leadership an opportunity to evaluate the capability of commanding officer and collaboration of troops in a combat crew, especially in complicated combat conditions, thus contributing to organizing training programs in close line with reality. During the event, the combat crews will perform different tasks such as testing professional knowledge, building force movement plan for combat readiness shifting, making combat documents and plans, and practicing air defense missions to protect the assigned targets. Vietnam’s economic growth forecast at 7.5 pc in 2022: World Bank

Hanoi - Vietnam’s GDP growth is forecast to expand 7.5 percent in 2022 and 6.7 percent in 2023, with resilient manufacturing and a robust rebound in services serving as the driving forces for economic recovery. GAS rose 0.9 per cent yesterday. — VNA/VNS Photo Vietnamese shares rose on Tuesday as risk appetite improved amid the authorities' efforts to curb inflation, promoting economic growth. On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, the VN-Index rose 0.17 per cent to close at 1,258.85 points. The VN-Index had gained 0.32 per cent to close Monday at 1,256.75 points. Some 721.6 million shares worth VND16 trillion (US$684 million) were traded on the southern exchange. The market's breadth was positive with 270 stocks climbing, of which 12 stocks hit ceiling prices, while 193 stocks declined. The VN30-Index, which tracks the 30 biggest stocks on HoSE, jumped 0.37 per cent, to 1,281.44 points. Flight returns to Hanoi with sick Japanese passenger

A flight of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines had to return to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Monday while travelling to Japan to save a Japanese boy who suffered from severe nosebleeds. Around 1 hour and 45 minutes after leaving Noi Bai International Airport for Haneda in Japan, the 10-year-old boy suddenly had a nosebleed. Despite being given urgent care, the passenger’s condition did not improve as he experienced non-stop bleeding. As a precaution, the crew decided to return to Noi Bai to ensure medical assistance. A flight of Vietnam Airlines The boy was then taken to a hospital in Hanoi for treatment with support from Vietnam Airlines staff. His condition has improved and he has continued staying at the hospital to be monitored. He took the flight with his mother and sister. Post-pandemic retail market recovers strongly

Olivier Langlet, CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, said Vietnam is one of the group’s major markets, with annual sales growing rapidly to nearly THB38.6 billion or more than VND25 trillion within 10 years, accounting for 22 percent of Central Retail’s total revenue. In 2021, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the group’s retail sales in Vietnam grew 0.2 percent, marking a new record. Central Retail currently has more than 300 shops and 39 shopping centers, with total retail space of more than one million square meters. Another foreign retailer, AEON, also plans to build additional hypermarkets in Hanoi, targeting 20 shopping centers in Vietnam by 2025.
