Danang becoming focal point in Central Vietnam investment
In late March, Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation and local BRG Group worked with Danang’s leaders to discuss projects both groups want to deploy in the city. In 2020, Chairman of Danang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh handed over MoUs on investment cooperation to Sumitomo Corporation and BRG Group to promote investment in a wide range of urban and infrastructure development projects in Danang. According to BRG chairwoman Nguyen Thi Nga, Danang has the full potential for a leading global player like Sumitomo to weigh over opportunities for investment and business expansion. “The board of directors at Sumitomo is solid with their investment orientation in Danang as they have sent several working groups to the city to shape an iconic regional-level project in Danang,” said Nga. Beyond Japanese groups, international investors from various other countries have expressed the desire to make forays into Danang. A peaceful corner of Ngòi Tu Village. Photo mia.vn Lâm Giang Located on the peaceful Thác Bà Lake, Ngòi Tu Community Cultural Tourism Village in Vũ Linh Commune, Yên Bình District is an attractive destination for tourists. Ngòi Tu has a unique landscape combined with the long-standing cultural values of the people here, creating a very unique attraction. We went by car to visit the village, though it can also be reached via boat, departing from Hương Lý Port in Yên Bình Town, to feel the cool and fresh atmosphere of Thác Bà Lake. The village is located close to the edge of Thác Bà Lake, nestled under palm trees and luxuriant forests. It covers an area of 2sq.km. With the typical climate of the lake area, the winter is cold and the summer is cool. We arrived at the village on a calm morning, the wind gently carried the fragrance from the rice fields. Lurking behind the shady palm trees, the village appears as a picture of a peaceful Vietnamese village, … [Read more...] about Ngòi Tu Village, an attractive destination by Thác Bà Lake
The grass isn’t always greener
Sadio Mane has left Liverpool for German giants Bayern Munich. Photo courtesy of Bayern Munich FC Paul Kennedy It was with somewhat of a heavy heart this week that I watched Sadio Mane leave Liverpool and sign for Bayern Munich. The Senegalese striker has been brilliant for Jurgen Klopp’s team, arguable his best player over the past 12 months, and although I really didn’t want him to go, I wish him nothing but the best in the Bundesliga. It also marked the end of Liverpool’s famed three-pronged attack that has served them so well in the past. Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino remain at the Reds, for now at least, as Mane plies his trade elsewhere. He’s not the first big name to leave Liverpool, and he sure as hell won’t be the last, but maybe he should have given a little thought to those that have left before him, heading off to pastures new. We can start with Philippe Coutinho who in the January of 2018 swapped Anfield for the Camp Nou fulfilling his dream of playing … [Read more...] about The grass isn’t always greener

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), as of May, the value of frozen Tra fish exports to the EU this year reached 76.8 million USD, up 95% year-on-year.
